(According to John Plaat's research, JohnV.V.'s parents are Jeptha Pine and Jane (Camper) Van Vickle. John Plaat has a death certificate
for John Van Vickle wherein it states his parents are Jeptha VV and a Miss Camper. He has no information on Jeptha's ancestors, although I have
presumed them to be Absalom and Elizabeth (Duglar) Van Vickle. 13 October 2000 email received from John Platt.)
Hattie's parents are Charles B. and Elizabeth (Counts) Jessee.

claims. Jeptha was b. Feb. 1805 in Ohio and died 11 January 1862 in Parke County, Indiana and is buried in Hixon Cemetery,
Montezuma, IN. He married Jane Camper on 16 June 1843 in Parke County, Indiana.
